Fiat Palio gets Active

04/10/2008 00:50. Fiat has released its new Palio range to slot in just above its entry-level GO! models. The Fiat Palio Active range takes over from the outgoing Vibe line-up, and in these trying economical times, falls in on the rights side of the R100 000 mark.

Under the bonnet of the Palio Active lies a 1,2-litre eight-valve unit that has a peak power output of 54 kW at 6 000 r/min and 102 N.m torque at 3 250 r/min. The zero to 100 km/h sprint can be completed in a claimed time of 13,5 seconds and the Palio Active can carry on until it reaches a top speed of 164 km/h.
