Sixty years on the XK has become Jaguar's ultimate affordable supercar.

And where better to put the high performance XKR through its paces than the legendary Nurburgring in Germany.

This is where Jaguar tests each of its models to the limit.

But it is not on the gruelling "green hell" of the Nordschleiffe circuit where this Jaguar will perfom.

It is out on the neighbouring Formula 1 track, normally the home of Ferraris and McLarens, where the XKR will show its mettle.

Purring from the pit lane the XKR emerges on to the end of the start-finish straight of the 3.2-mile track where the greats of modern Grand Prix have made their name.
