What's new: The model was new in 2007, so 2008 changes are minimal. There are four new convertible fabric roof colors -- gray, burgundy, green and dark beige. The antenna is now mounted in the rear spoiler. Polished stainless-steel pedals are standard on the XKR.

Drivetrain: One of the main reasons Jaguar charges almost $11,000 more for the XKR coupe than for the XK lies under the hood. The XKR's 4.2-liter, supercharged V-8 produces 420 horsepower and 413 ft-lbs. of torque, compared to the 300 hp and 310 ft-lbs. of the naturally aspirated V-8 in the XK.
