19/07/2008 03:43. NEW YORK — The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 , the most significant makeover of the Gallardo since the car's introduction in 2003, is proving to be one popular vehicle. Lamborghini announced late Thursday that it has compiled a six-month waiting list for the car, even before its U.S. rollout later this summer.

The announcement was timed to coincide with the delivery of the first Gallardo LP560-4 here. The car was delivered to New Yorker Benny Caiola, Jr., whom Lamborghini described in a statement as a "noted Italian car enthusiast and collector."
