Europe: Lotus Adds a Few More of Its Clark Type 25 Elise SC for Europe 29/08/2008 10:25. HETHEL, England — The special-edition Lotus Clark Type 25 Elise SC was initially limited to 25 cars for the U.K. and the Republic of
Ireland, but now Lotus has decided to produce another 25 cars for
the mainland European market. The vehicle honors Jim Clark, the legendary Scottish F1 driver and winner of the Indianapolis 500. Clark was killed on April 7, 1968, in a Formula 2 race at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany. Lotus has decorated the exterior in British Racing Green with a yellow stripe down the center, and a removable hardtop comes standard on the vehicle.
