us a slide of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting The Virgin of the
Rocks (circa 1486). Then it showed us another version of the
painting, updated by Leo a decade later with improved halos and
facial definition. Then came a 20-minute explanation of how
Maserati was in no way whatsoever comparing itself to da Vinci, the
company having cleverly divined the evil spin we journalists would
put on such posturing.
Right. So the message is: here is a Quattroporte that is prettier
and, in S guise, hornier than the previous model.
Indeed, the already gorgeous Quattroporte has been gently massaged
to attain a slightly higher level of gorgeousness. At the front,
horizontal grille bars have been replaced by vertical ones, which
work so... //
