The company said that the new Fairlady Z is powered by the VQ37VHR 3.7-liter engine with Nissan's variable valve event and lift system. It generates maximum power of 247kW at 7,000rpm and maximum torque of 365Nm at 5,200rpm.

Following on from its 350Z predecessor, the new model is aiming to appeal to buyers of BMWâs 3-Series Coupé and the Porsche Cayman. It has more power than before, as well as a higher-quality cabin, and the handling offers a sharper edge.
