Opel Tigra voted greenest sports car

11/08/2008 19:21. The UK’s Environmental Transport Association (ETA) has voted Opel’s Tigra two-door convertible as the greenest vehicle in the sports category.

ETA looks at some 1,300 models of cars currently on sale in the UK and examines their power, emissions, fuel efficiency and the amount of noise they produce to create the definitive guide to buying the greenest vehicle. ETA’s publication, the Car Buyers’ Guide, was first published in 1992 and has since become the environmental benchmark for the car industry and the public, championing the greenest cars in the UK.

The winning feature of the diesel Opel Tigra 1.3CDTi 16v is its low fuel consumption at 4.6 l/100 km (combined) which keeps CO2 emissions down at 124 g/km.
