20/08/2008 20:41. Sonoma: Pontiac Grand Am Race Preview

Pontiac Daytona Prototype (DP) teams are on their way to Sonoma’s wine country for round 12 of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 to be run at Infineon Raceway on August 23.

The 2.52-mile, 12-turn Infineon road course is located at the gateway to Sonoma’s wine country. The track will see the Grand-Am competitors compete for only the third time in series history. The No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings racing team is the defending Infineon race winners.

Pontiac took over the manufacturer lead after the last race at Watkins Glen. Pontiac leads the manufacturer chase by four points.
