03/09/2008 21:35. Porsche’s new web features offer the chance to “virtually” experience what it’s like to take a new 911 on the open road.

After that little marketing ditty I thought I’d just have to give it a go.

The actual ride was average, perhaps for a Porsche enthusiast it would have been more remarkable.  It was a nice little touch to allow me to choose my own music and design a course but I wasn’t blown away by the graphics and despite the fact that I designed a few tours they all looked the same.

According to Porsche the same computer-aided-design (CAD) files used by the engineers in the design of the new 911 were also used for the video CGI version that is on the Porsche website .... // MyADSL
