06/08/2008 06:11. Two special editions of the eleven year old  Porsche Boxster and three-year old Cayman have been announced for global sale. Each has a more powerful version of the OEM's 3.4-litre H6 engine than has been previously seen in the cars.

The Boxster S Porsche Design Edition 2 and Cayman S Sport have the same output of 299hp (223kW); a modest 7hp (5kW) rise on the S versions of each, thanks to a retuned exhaust system, as was the case with the former RS60 Spyder.

The Boxster version of the new models will be available only in 'Carrera White' with grey stripes. The rear combination lamps are new, though also shared with the RS60... // Automotive World
