13/06/2008 23:01. Tokyo, June 13, 2008 (Jiji Press) - Toyota Motor Corp. 7203 said Friday it has received about 36,000 purchase orders for its new luxury minivans, the Alphard and the Vellfire, one month after their debut on May 12.

The total is six times more than the joint monthly sales target of 6,000 units.

The models' luxurious interiors and high fuel efficiency seem to be attracting buyers in their 30s and 40s, Toyota said.
