New RAV4 launched in RP by Toyota

12/11/2008 00:34. A NEW and improved 2008 RAV4 has been launched by Toyota Motor Philippines Corp., with the firm saying the move aims to cement its position as the country’s top automaker.

Basically a cosmetically tweaked version, the new 2008 RAV4 remains powered by its predecessor’s 2.4-liter VVT-I engine. Both the 4WD and 2WD variants’ power plants are capable of a maximum 170 ps at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 224 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

Exterior-wise, there is a lengthened front bumper, revitalized radiator grille, trendier multi-reflector fog lamps with plated rings, and a rear bumper upgraded with a scuff plate.
