31/10/2008 18:53.   Volkswagen Beetle fans are invited to an exhibition held in Istanbul displaying old and new photographs of “bugs,” as they are more often called.

   The exhibition offers a journey through the 70-year history of these plucky bugs, more significant now that their original model is no longer produced.

  “Beetle is a lifestyle, beetle love is more than owning one, but having a rebellious spirit, being an opponent of war and being an environmentalist at the same time,” said Mustafa Dermanlý, head of the Anatolia Vosvos Association, or AVD, which is hosting the exhibition.

  In Istanbul, the beetle, or "vosvos" as it is known locally, is not a commonly used car. But devoted fans who drive Beetles beside luxury cars in the stuffy traffic of Istanbul will have the chance... // Turkish Daily News
