2009 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen SE New model brings added ... 10/10/2008 10:39. The Volkswagen Jetta celebrated its 25th anniversary in North
America just three years ago. Two versions were available then - a
1.9-liter TDI, which drew its power from a 100-horsepower,
four-cylinder in-line turbocharged direct-injection diesel "Pumpe
Dse," and a 2.5 liter in-line five-cylinder motor that ran on
regular unleaded petrol and produced 150 horses and 170 pound-feet
of torque. A third model bowed later and was designated as an '06
model. It featured a 2.0 TSI that generated 200 horsepower and 207
pound-feet of torque. The exhaust exits via dual left side outlets. Up until now, all VW Jettas happened to be four-door sedans that exhibited enough polish in terms of fit and finish, and luxuriousness enough to enter into Audi territory.
