04/09/2008 16:09. Sept. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Volkswagen AG , Europe's biggest carmaker, said sales in the U.S. rose 2.9 percent in August on increased sales of its Jetta model.

Deliveries in the world's largest auto market climbed to 22,292 vehicles from 21,655 a year earlier, Wolfsburg, Germany- based Volkswagen said in a statement on the PR Newswire service today.
