FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - General Motors Corp has decided to start building the Opel Astra, GM's biggest seller in Europe, at its German plant in Ruesselsheim, according to Handelsblatt, citing a company spokesman. It said GM Europe head Carl-Peter Forster is expected to tell workers in Ruesselsheim on Friday. Production is meant to start in 2010. The Astra will also continue to be built at plants in Bochum in Germany, Gleiwitz in Poland and Ellesmere Port in the United Kingdom.
