02/09/2008 10:46. Formula Renault 3.5: Podium For Carlin At Nurburgring

Mikhail Aleshin brought home solid points and a podium finish for Carlin Motorsport this weekend, as the team competed at the Nürburgring round of the 2008 World Series by Renault 3.5. A technical problem prevented Aleshin finishing race two, while team mate Robert Wickens became the victim of another driver’s mistake while running in the points.

Having completed qualifying on Saturday morning, Aleshin lined up in ninth place, while Wickens was 13th. As the lights went out an incident between the two Prema drivers triggered a chain of events which saw five cars crash out of the race. Robert Wickens also found himself involved in the incident, and was left stranded on the side of the track with a damaged side pod and... // PaddockTalk
