31/08/2008 16:27. RENAULT has introduced a sporty new version of its Twingo hatchback, which is even quicker and faster than the GT model that currently accounts for more than a quarter of the car's UK sales.

The Twingo Renaultsport 133 takes its name from the sport package and 133bhp engine that endow the car with striking looks, sharp handling and 125mph performance.

Priced at £11,550, the newcomer uses a non-turbo 1.6-litre petrol engine that develops maximum power at a relatively high 6,750rpm at 4,400rpm.
