30/05/2008 10:57. Just check out the sales figures. In the 1990s, Skoda were selling just 200,000 cars a year. Last year they hit a record of 630,000 and this year they will top 700,000.

In the UK they have had record sales for three years in a row, which is even more remarkable when you consider that, overall, new car sales are falling.
