Originally developed for North America, the Impreza got a full redesign in June 2007 and is now sold in various markets around the world, primarily as a five-door hatchback. Overseas, the sedan version is now sold only in North America, but the automaker has decided to introduce it in Russia to capitalize on the fast-growing sedan market there.
