For the Web, the new device utilizes the H.264 standard for compression, which doubles the compression ratio so that it takes less time to send video files via email or upload them to sites. The feature also delivers longer recording times, since more video can be stored in the device's memory card.

Most of the pocket camcorders out today come with a YouTube uploading functionality, which is really not a bad thing for people who don't know much about converting video to small Web files. Creative's Vado, Pure Digital's Flip Video , and RCA's Small Wonder camcorders are great pocket camcorders for the casual user, but anything over $100 in this category is way too expensive.

Then we have pocket camcorders that can do HD recording. These are also good, but I've personally had some issues with them. HD camcorders have really come down in price, and these days you don't have to compromise too much for HD quality video you can upload to YouTube.
