Suzuki Welcomes Back Chad Reed

15/08/2008 07:44. In a major announcement, current World and AMA Supercross Champion Chad Reed has joined the Rockstar Makita Suzuki factory team in America, and by doing so will rekindle a relationship with Suzuki Australia that commenced more than a decade ago.

Having raced Suzuki RMs in his junior days, Reed began his professional career by signing with Suzuki Australia in 1998.

Reed then went on to clinch the Australian Supercross title with Suzuki in 1999 aboard an RM250 before venturing to Europe and then the USA to further his stellar career.

The Australian makes the move back to the Suzuki stable to contest the 2009 AMA Supercross Series in the US where he will pilot Suzuki's revolutionary fuel-injected RM-Z450.
