01/07/2008 19:36. (MENAFN) Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., the nation's biggest carmaker, said in a statement that its sales in June rose 2.2 percent after it sold more SX4 and DZire sedans and boosted exports, Bloomberg reported.
The automaker sold 61,247 cars, vans and sport-utility vehicles last month compared with 59,917 vehicles a year earlier, the New Delhi-based company said in the statement. Exports increased to 4,836 vehicles from 3,917 a year earlier.
