Suzuki Jimny - Son of Samurai back in SA

OK, now here's a small car you parents should look at seriously if you're planning to buy young Johnny or Jane their first wheels – it's another of the brilliant but modestly sized cars being imported by Suzuki SA but this one comes with all-wheel drive and even low-range gearing for excellent off-road ability.

The Suzuki Jimny (yep, that's how it's spelled) was launched this week at Assegaay Bosch game farm near Calitzdorp in the Western Cape and is the latest incarnation of those fun little 850cc buggies called the SJ and Samurai that were exceedingly popular in South Africa back in the 1980's, with or without a roof, and there are still a fair few knocking around
