29/05/2008 17:20. Koprivnice, May 28 (CTK) - Czech lorry maker Tatra made profit worth Kc858m on revenues worth Kc6.463bn last year, the company said Wednesday in an invitation to a general meeting.

Consolidated profit of the group exceeded Kc901m, while consolidated revenues amounted to Kc8.383bn, Tatra said.

In 2006, Tatra generated net profit worth Kc261m and sales worth Kc4.465bn. For this year, the company expects sales worth a record Kc9bn.

Tatra's sales have been growing since September 2006 when the company was acquired by new owners who had decided to invest $80m (around Kc1.3bn) between 2007 and 2009 into improvement and development of products.

In spring this year, Tatra launched lorry supplies to the Czech Army.
