2009. A groundbreaking was held Tuesday, July 1, for a 120,000-square-foot facility for Takumi Stamping, a producer of small metal-stamped auto parts,on Seward Road just north of Union Centre Boulevard. In May, Fairfield City Council approved a 10-year, 75 percent abatement for the auto parts supplier exclusively for Toyota. The abatement will save the company about $38,000 a year during the life of the abatement and the Fairfield City School District will be compensated $12,000 a year during the term of the abatement.
