02/09/2008 15:26. LIKE many people, radio presenter Louise Heraghty finds it is the small purchases that end up costing the large amounts.
"Little things like coffee are probably my biggest waste of money -- I'm addicted. Of course, I also love clothes shopping, like most women, but I'm not too impulsive," she said.
"One Christmas I got my hair cut too short and hated it so much that I got hair extensions sewn in -- they were very expensive. By New Years Day I had taken them all out -- absolute craziness.
"My new VW Polo is my best ever buy, I love it, I'm always on the go.
"I have long-term and short-term savings but only started saving properly this year.
"I've been working full time for five years so it was about time I think.
