Sand and mud instead of hot tarmac: Audi driver Martin Tomczyk swapped his Audi A4 DTM for a Volkswagen Race Touareg from the Dakar Rally for the first time. After brief instructions from Volkswagen factory driver Dieter Depping Martin Tomczyk bravely put the pedal to the metal at an offroad area near the Nürburgring.

"It’s incredible how fast the Race Touareg can be driven in rough terrain. At the wheel you immediately feel that you’re sitting in a thorough-bred rally vehicle," marvelled the DTM star from Rosenheim, Bavaria.
