22/07/2008 11:10. The Volkswagen Group has had a penchant of late for nautically-themed SUVs. Starting with the Audi Q7 Coastline revealed at the Geneva Motor Show back in March and then followed up with the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta that same month, now the carmaker has revealed the Touareg North Sails Concept, which will be on display at this week's Travemnder Woche sailing event in Germany.

Unlike the previous Q7 Coastline, which was a purely in-house effort, the new Touareg North Sails was built in partnership with leading sail manufacturer North Sails. The VW is also not as complete an excursion into the world of yachts as the Audi, missing out on the wooden rear deck and aluminium cargo hold.
