carrier flight deck and scoff at the thought of owning Volvo's V70
station wagon, which underwent a total overhaul for 2008. Others will note the 16-mpg EPA city fuel economy rating and wonder if I'm crazy. But after spending a week with one, I have no qualms suggesting that the V70 would be a great choice for many consumers in the market for a new vehicle. That's because it is a versatile vehicle that is more economical than it might seem at first glance, and quite a bargain when compared to its competition. The V70's competition includes midsize luxury wagons such as the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
